About

Hi! I’m Khanh, a visual designer.

I love to create visual work that simplifies and communicates complex ideas effectively.

Challenging myself to do great work under constraints or restrictions is what I really enjoy. I’ve worked with consumer brands, government agencies, non-profits, and advocacy organizations on a variety of print and digital projects. I’ve designed independently, with teams, and in collaboration with large groups of multi-disciplinary professionals. Along the way, I’ve also found that I’m good at art directing, and mentoring junior designers brings me lots of joy and a sense of purpose.

I’ve designed for:

3M
America’s Promise Alliance
Annie E. Casey Foundation
Army National Guard
Aspen Institute
Behavioral Health System Baltimore
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
DoorDash
National Institutes of Health
Open Society Institute–Baltimore
The Trevor Project
Unilever
United Service Organizations
U.S. Agency for International Development
U.S. Census Bureau
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Wells Fargo
Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation
and more

I’m inspired by:

Design, art, museums—especially art museums, public libraries, live concerts, old objects, good books, long-form journalism, beautifully written words, interactive news articles, the DC metro area, New York City, small towns, new places, road trips, creative minds, kind people, curiosity, volunteer work, the sense of civic duties and social responsibilities, and the attempt to use pink in my design
